Security agencies in Enugu State have assured residents of a peaceful and credible Local Government Election. The election is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mamman Giwa, gave the assurance on Thursday. He spoke on behalf of other security agencies after a meeting on election security.
Giwa said the agencies had concluded their security arrangements. He added that they had developed strategies to protect residents and prevent electoral misconduct.
