The Deputy Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Chief Ezenta Ezeani, has praised the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) for its grassroots interventions.
Ezeani gave the commendation on Thursday during a courtesy visit to the agency. He met with the CSDA General Manager, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani, during the visit.
The lawmaker, who represents Igbo-Etiti East State Constituency, said CSDA has helped bring government interventions closer to communities. He also commended the agency for promoting people-oriented and participatory development across Enugu State.
Ezeani Seeks More Development Projects for Constituency

Ezeani also called for more development interventions in Igbo-Etiti East Constituency. He said communities in the constituency would benefit from projects that address their basic needs and improve living conditions.
The Deputy Speaker’s visit also provided an opportunity to discuss the role of government agencies in grassroots development. Both leaders exchanged views on how stronger collaboration could support communities across the state.
CSDA Reaffirms Commitment to Grassroots Development

Responding, Ani described the engagement as a sign of the strong partnership between the legislature and executive agencies. He said such cooperation could help advance the development agenda of Enugu State.
The CSDA General Manager also stressed the importance of collaboration among government institutions. According to him, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to sustained cooperation and collective efforts.
Ani said the goal remains to build stronger, healthier and more prosperous communities across the state. He added that effective cooperation between government institutions would support the vision of the Enugu State Government under Governor Peter Mbah.
CSDA Highlights Community Development Interventions
The engagement also focused on the agency’s ongoing efforts to improve living conditions across Enugu communities. These interventions include potable water projects, public toilets and livelihood support initiatives.
CSDA has continued to focus on projects that respond to community needs. The agency’s approach also gives residents a role in identifying and supporting development priorities.
The discussions between Ezeani and Ani therefore centred on community development and grassroots empowerment. They also highlighted the need for continued cooperation to deliver interventions that directly benefit residents.
The meeting reflects the importance of partnerships between government institutions in advancing development at the grassroots. It also provides an avenue for communities to benefit from interventions designed around their needs.
